TWO Urban Licks, 22 years on the Eastside BeltLine, welcomes Amasa Mexican Kitchen to the neighborhood as Buena Vida becomes Amasa BeltLine in January 2027. Chef Alec of TWO and Chef Joey Vazquez of Amasa come together for a special five-course dinner featuring TWO’s wood-fired cooking and Amasa’s Baja-inspired seafood.

Cook It Yourself, Start to Finish

You make your own chicken and chorizo paella while Chef Jaime walks the room through every step. With only 20 spots, everyone gets time with the chef.

Keep the Paella Pan

Every couple takes home a paella pan. Learn it at Buena Vida on Wednesday night, then make it again in your own kitchen.

Two Drinks and Chef Jaime’s Paella

Your ticket includes two drinks per person: beer, wine, sangria, or a margarita. Chef Jaime also cooks his own chicken and chorizo paella for the room, and every guest gets a serving to enjoy next to the one they made.

Join Amasa Mexican Kitchen and TWO Urban Licks on Thursday, December 3 at 6:30 PM for The Block Just Got Better, a one-night-only collaborative dinner on the Eastside BeltLine. TWO Urban Licks is celebrating 22 years in the neighborhood by welcoming its newest neighbor: Amasa BeltLine, opening in January 2027 in the Buena Vida Tapas Bar space just down the trail. Chef Alec of TWO Urban Licks and Chef Joey Vazquez of Amasa are cooking together for one evening, trading courses between TWO's wood-fired kitchen and Amasa's Baja-inspired, seafood-forward menu.

Event Highlights:

  • Collaborative Chefs: Chef Alec of TWO Urban Licks and Chef Joey Vazquez of Amasa Mexican Kitchen share one kitchen for a single night.

  • Five-Course Menu: A fully gluten-free dinner that moves between TWO's wood-fired cooking and Amasa's ceviches, crudos and hand-pressed blue corn tortillas.

  • Tequila Welcome Cocktail: Every guest is greeted with a tequila cocktail from the Amasa bar team. Additional cocktails, wine and beer available for purchase.

  • A First Taste of Amasa BeltLine: The neighborhood's first look at the Baja menu coming to Old Fourth Ward in January 2027.
